As President of Jambon Marine Service, I am committed to help preserve, protect and where possible enhance the environment in which we work and live. To facilitate this, it is imperative all Jambon employees fully understand and comply with our Environmental Policies and Procedures, and the potential adverse impact an unauthorized or accidental hazardous materials discharge can have on the environment.
We will accomplish this by:
Balancing quality engineering and design principles with the consideration of environmental aspects of maritime transportation.
Being sensitive to community values and needs utilizing an open decision-making process, which strives to accommodate community concerns, where feasible, and facilitate problem-solving in a collaborative manner.
Considering, in all functional activities, environmental factors such as noise, air quality, vessel water runoff, sewage discharge, and transportation/transfers of hazardous materials in order to preserve and enhance the environment.
Maximizing the use of recycled materials.
Considering the social consequences resulting from transportation actions to ensure that impacts to the human environment are identified and fully considered equally with impacts related to the natural and physical environments.
Utilizing proactive employee involvement that is responsive to agencies, citizens and groups in addressing environmental issues and developing transportation plans, programs and policies.
